Question by forever21306: Tips with losing another 10 – 15 pounds & toning?
I wan to lose another 10 -15 pounds within 3 months. I also want to tone my body more at the same time. I am already 119 pounds & I am 5′4″. size 2. But I really want to get back to my weight I was at during the summer. Which was 110ish.
Target areas in specific would be my waist. I am getting a little bit of love handles that I want gone asap. But also my calves, thighs, stomach, and upper arm.
I know it is bad – but right now I am eating no more than 950 calories a day. And I want to go to 450 and under. I have been doing “dancing exercises” for 35 min. a day. Concentrating mainly on my stomach and legs. – I know it is working because I can feel the burn and I sweat.
What else should I do? I walk a bit during the day, but not enough to lose any weight from it.
Any tips would be appreciated – like specific exercises, weight loss foods, etc.

Well for one start eating more. You won’t lose weight by starving yourself, you’re body is just going to hold onto your fat and use your muscles for fuel instead. So go ahead and stop doing that.
After that, if you continue with the dancing exercises and in two weeks don’t see a difference, change it up. If you want tone, start working on your muscles. If you go to a gym, start using the machines. If not start doing all the basic core exercises.
It actually isn’t as simple as calories in, calories out. Your body gets more and more efficient at doing exercises after a certain period of time so you have to change it up to continue to challenge yourself. More simply, you burn less calories the more you do a certain exercise.

First of all, you shouldn’t be consuming that little an amount of calories in one day. Your body weight is perfect for the height that you are. Infact, even if you were 10 pounds heavier that would still be considered good. You need to be taking in ATLEAST 1800 calories a day. That’s almost double what you are consuming now! I’ve put together a list of tips and tricks for you. First you should take all of the above into consideration to be healthier
Consume lots of water – This is a great start. We’ve heard it many times ‘make sure to drink your 8 ounce glasses a day’ – of course this is true! This will help clean out your system, and will ultimately give you that sense of fullness.
Chew food more slowly – This is a very popular trick in the book. If you were to chew food more slowly, you would appreciate the taste of food you are eating more than you would have if you just gulped it down. This makes you feel less hungry, as it is slowly being digested into your system.
Try not to get bored – One of the main reasons dieters go off a plan is boredom. Snacking is usually done when a dieter has nothing better to do with themselves. Try going out for a walk, or reading a book. Anything that will get you up and about is good. Your mind needs to be kept occupied as to not snack so frequently.
Avoid becoming too stressed – Stress is one of the biggest factors in weight gain. Emotional stress can often lead to overeating. We tend to crave more fatty, sugary, salty foods, but this obviously doesn’t help with our waistline. So next time you feel your stress levels rising, have a warm cup of Green Tea, take a bubble bath, or sign up for Yoga.
Take note of your progress – Try not to weigh yourself every single day. You will obviously not always like what you see, and will feel discouragement. Take note of your weight once a week, this will help boost your motivation AND confidence in the long run.
Make a promise to yourself – We all know how bad it feels when someone blows us off, even after they’ve committed to it. So why would you want to do the same to yourself? Try to join a gym, or sign up for a walkathon to help support other people. This will benefit you, and will make you feel good about yourself. You will feel a sense of accomplishment knowing you worked out your body.
Hope this helped – Please get back on a healthier track again!
